DRAFT PROPOSAL TO REPLACE
Article XXIII AND Article XXIV
Skills Testing Process
Skills testing shall take place for the Shetland, Pinto, Mustang, Bronco, and Senior
divisions. The skills testing will take place over a two day period, Saturday for ages six,
eight, ten, and twelve and Sunday for ages five, seven, nine, and eleven. Skills testing for
the Senior division shall be set up by the Senior Division Director. Should skills testing
be cancelled for any reason during the first attempt then skills testing will be rescheduled
for the following weekend. If, after two attempts, the skills testing cannot be held then all
Players shall be listed on division draft sheets by date of birth from oldest to youngest.
A. Skills testing shall be set up and run by each Division Director.
B. Managers will attend skills testing and score Players.
C. Score sheets will be collected by Division Director and Players will be ranked
accordingly. Division Directors reserve the right to move Players up or down in
the rankings.
D. Managers shall lock TWO PLAYERS. If one of the two Players locked has a
sibling the Manager may have a THIRD PLAYER locked. IN NO CASE SHALL
A MANAGER LOCK MORE THAN THREE PLAYERS.
Draft Process
ROUND 1 Manager must take first locked Player (If any Manager does not have a
locked Player then they will get to pick a Player in the first round)
ROUND 2 Manager must take second locked Player (If any Manager does not have a
locked Player then they will get to pick a Player in the second round)
ROUND 3 Any Manager that has third locked player due to sibling, this Player must be
taken in third round. Remaining selections shall be determined by draw of numbered
balls going from lowest number to highest number.
ROUND 4 Selection shall be determined by draw of earlier round. Order will go from
highest number to lowest number. (Balls will be redrawn every other round until
completion of draft)
A. Managers must disclose locked Players prior to start of draft. No Player can be
locked after the start of draft.
B. All unlocked Players are available to be picked in any round. This is an OPEN draft.
C. Shetland and Pinto Teams shall not exceed more than 12 Players
D. Mustang and Bronco Teams shall not exceed more than 11 Players
E. Any unlocked Player that does not attend skills testing will not be available for pick
during draft, will be chosen in blind draw at the end of the draft, and will not be
available for trade.
F. If a Manager takes a Player that has a sibling then the sibling must be taken in
following round by same Team.
G. After all Players are selected there will be a ten minute trade period. ONE TRADE
PER TEAM.
