The 7th the Pacific Rim Community Design Network Conference
in Awajishima, Japan

September 11th – 14th, 2010
The Pacific Rim Community Design Network is returning to Japan more than ten
years after the conference in Saitama in 1999. The theme of this year is
“Sustainable Landscape, Sustainable Communities.” Using the exquisite setting
of Awaji Landscape Planning & Horticulture Academy /University of Hyogo on
the island of Awajishima near Kobe, Japan, the conference will examine the
connections between sustainability of local communities and the broader
environment in the face of globalism.
To be in part of the conference, please register using the following form.

Conference site --- Awaji Landscape and Horticulture Academy
It is located in Awaji City, Hyogo, Japan. Transportation information will be
available soon.

Registration fee:
15,000 yen or 5,000 yen (students) for advanced payment
17,000 yen or 7,000 yen (students) for on-site payment

students coming from overseas priorities to stay in the school dormitory and
publicly-run, thus cheaper, accommodation. We will arrange and reserve for the
