HOW TO USE FACEBOOK TO MAKE MONEY (Series 2)
Facebook, without gainsaying has changed many lives both far and near, not
because somebody gave them money among some of their friends, but because,
somebody gave them the right information or they researched on their own and get the
right fact they need about utilizing Facebook and now, their story is a new one.
In my last post, I wrote about different hotspot and potentials Facebook can offer
its users if used with the right perspectives, I talked about utilizing it for individuals
advantage instead of our normal surfing and Facebooking.
I want to believe by now that you have a Facebook account, if not sign up at
Facebook.com, setup your profile to your taste, connect with your friends, join networks
based on your business scope, Networks play a key role in helping you connect with
people. You can join a regional network (one only) and (up to five total) school or
company networks (must have a valid email address for each). Joining a network will
help people find you, and will help you rank higher in Facebook searches when the
searcher is in a common network and the sweet part of it, begin to share information.
When sharing information on Facebook, there are a handful of applications that
can help you to share and interact with other users. Now to the business of today, let’s get
started here; as with any business endeavor you need a plan and especially for your
marketing strategy since you have so many options open to you, you would rather need a
plan to make sure you are heading in the right direction.
The Facebook demographic is extremely diverse and you have the added
advantage of being able to use people’s profiles to further narrow your target market
down. For instance, if you want to target women aged 24 – 35 who live in the United
States and love to lose weight; Facebook makes it extremely easy to do. You can be
certain you are not wasting your time and resources, on reaching a wide audience of
which only a small percentage is actually your target market, as was often the case with
traditional marketing channels. The essence of today’s series is to let you know that,
before you can interact with anybody on a business platform, you have to know them and
know what they want, take your time to study your contacts on Facebook and it will give
you and insight on their needs.
Remember that the key to building a successful business is to have an excellent
understanding of your target market. The more you know about them, the easier it will be
to build a relationship with them.
