Biosensor Applications AB signs a Memorandum of Understanding for a
test with its technology on drug detection in the New York State prison in

Biosensor Applications Sweden AB has agreed to perform a 6 weeks trial for drug
testing at the Albany facility for Correctional Services in New York State. This test is
part of an evaluation by NTPAC (Northeast Technology and Product Assessment
Committee) which concludes new technologies for the north eastern states of the US.

“This is a major success for us and our technology and now we are able to prove the
efficiency of our equipment for drug detection. We have already conducted successful tests
in Germany and Sweden, however this test in Albany is considered a trial for all north
eastern states within the NTPAC organization, and it represents an approximate total of 800
state run Correction Centers. A tremendous opportunity for us to establish our technology
within the US’, says Bengt Hagander, CEO of Biosensor Applications.
The BIOSENS system will be started up beginning of May in Albany. Biosensor´s local
partner QPI in Washington will provide for training and start-up.
