Be a modern man
In a modern world, men and women are equal. Women are working the same position as men are.
Women were in nineteen century just do chores and housework. It’s so impressive that in twenty century,
women are promoting and work out of houses. And some men are placed as women’s duties as home; in
some families husbands and wives are sharing to take care their children.
When I migrated to the United States of America with my family, I was really shock. It was so
strange to me. In a society, men are not the power people in families. In Vietnam and Asian countries,
men have the most power and are respected in families and societies. I hate to be a modern man.
A modern man has to be great background and ready to compete others at work and in love. A
modern man has to have expensive cars, houses, club members like night clubs in New York City, golf
clubs, so on. A modern man has to recognize his girlfriend needs and wants. It’s really crazy when you
are at work; you have to check your home security. Is it very good to be a modern man? When I think
about myself, I feel really aggressive. You know why? Because I don’t fit as a modern man, people just
claim I am an old-fashion man. A modern man has to know many kinds of wines. A modern man should
have strong muscle and fitted body.
Twenty first century is the computer technology one. Youths would like to buy newest electronic
products as Apple Macs, iPhone, iPod touch with two cameras backside and front side, iPad, Android
phones, etc. Is that established the modern man should do? It could be, right. In last decade, our cell
phones are just only useful for calling and receiving phone calls. Our mobiles are not connected to the
Internet, or 2G, 3G, and now 4G like today. Our computers are really not popular and competitive like
today. Just ten years, computer operating system are upgraded and changed every year; computer

companies produce more and more new operating systems and more models. A modern man has to learn
to use those computer technologies. A modern man has to know how to text message on their phones and
computers as Yahoo messenger, Windows Live, Gmail, etc.
Besides knowing using computing technology, a modern man has to do chores for his wife when
she is at work. A modern man should know how to change diapers for his children, take children to parks
on weekends, etc. Also a modern man has to know cooking to feed his children and busy wife. Sometimes
a modern man has to be romantic to his honey like having presents for his wife as flowers, chocolates.
Sometimes a modern man has to clean dishes and wash clothes. A modern man has to share housework to
his wife.
