Executive Chamber

State Capitol

Albany, NY 12224

Dear Mr. McGuire:

Senate Bill S-6438, of which I am the sponsor, is now before the Governor for

his consideration. I am writing to request approval of this legislation.

The bill authorizes the City of New York to reconvey its interest in certain

real property acquired by in rem tax foreclosure to the former owner, Amelia

Vigliotti. Following the death of her husband, Mrs. Vigliotti inadvertently failed to

pay the property taxes on this property. This legislation, which imposes all of the

customary requirements for such a reconveyance, including the payment of all taxes,

penalties and interest, will allow Mrs. Vigliotti to regain ownership of her home.

Therefore, I urge approval of 8-6438. Thank you for your consideration of

this request.

P.S. Please note my Albany office has moved. While the phone number remains the same, the room mnnber is now 612 and the fax number

has changed to 518-426-6984.
