SPRING INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT
SPECIFICATIONS AND BID FORM
BAND AND MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS
The Spring Independent School District requests bids for Band and Musical Instruments to be purchased
for Spring High School, Westfield High School, Westfield High School 9th Grade Center, Bammel Middle
School, Claughton Middle School, Dueitt Middle School, Twin Creeks Middle School, and Wells Middle
School. Bidders should bid items with the understanding that all deliveries will be made to 16717 Ella
Boulevard, Houston, Texas 77090. Awards for these instruments will be made at the Board of Trustees
Meeting on May 10, 2005.
Items will be awarded separately unless a vendor offers a package that results in an overall lower cost.
These are estimated needs for the 2005-06 school year. The exact items and quantities to be purchased
will be determined based on available funds. Most purchases will be made in the late spring or summer,
so bid prices must remain in effect until December 31, 2005.
Vendors are cautioned to read the attached specifications carefully and bid only those items that can be
proven to meet or exceed the requirements for each item. Where brand names appear, the vendor should
consider them as a reference only and should not feel limited to that particular brand. However, where
alternates are bid, specifications explaining how they met the District’s requirements must be included
with the bid form in order to receive consideration.
