eFax Integrated App Now Available Through the Google Apps Marketplace
Domain administrators of Gmail hosted services now can assign and manage eFax
accounts directly from the Google Apps Marketplace
®
LOS ANGELES, CA. March 9, 2009 – eFax , a brand of j2 Global Communications, Inc.
(NASDAQ:JCOM), today announced the availability of the eFax integrated application on the
Google Apps Marketplace™, Google's recently launched online storefront for Google Apps™
products and services. eFax is a full-featured Internet service that allows faxes to be sent and
received as email attachments, saving time and money by eliminating the need for a dedicated
fax machine and phone line. The eFax integrated app empowers domain administrators to let
their teams send and receive faxes, including hand-notated documents such as contracts and
agreements, from their desktops, laptops, or mobile devices.
"The eFax integrated app is a natural fit for the Google Apps Marketplace,” said Mike Pugh, vice
president, marketing for j2 Global. “eFax makes it easy for anyone with web access to send and
receive faxes via email. Now, the availability of the service as an integrated cloud application
within the Google Apps Marketplace makes it even easier to set up eFax accounts for onsite staff,
remote offices, and mobile users.”
eFax is a pioneer in the fax business, with a string of technology and business firsts dating back
to 1988, and a worldwide global network that encompasses more than 3,500 cities in 48
countries. The eFax integrated app allows faxes to be sent and received via email in a wide
range of formats, including PDF and TIFF. Documents can be stored online up to two years, and
can be tagged and searched for archival or reference. eFax helps contribute to a company’s
mobility and green initiatives through the elimination of dedicated fax machines that require
paper, toner, and a dedicated phone line.
"We are very excited to have eFax in the Google Apps Marketplace," says Scott McMullan,
Google Apps Partner Lead for Google Enterprise. "Through the Google Apps Marketplace,
software vendors like eFax are helping us build a rich ecosystem of integrated apps that work
seamlessly with Google Apps, allowing IT administrators to leverage the benefits of cloud
computing and extend Google Apps to meet more of their business needs. We are happy to offer
eFax to the millions of Google Apps users who have embraced the cloud."
