Habitat and Environment
All penguins live in different parts of the
world but they all live south of the
equator. From the parts of South
America all the way to New Zealand
penguins rule the southern part of the
equator!

Food
Like all living things,
penguins have to eat,
too. Since they are
such excellent
swimmers, they use
that to catch food.
Penguins are known to
eat numerous types
of fish, shrimp, krill,
and even sometimes
squid!

Body Parts
The adult penguins feather are black
and white. They were and still are
hunted by humans for their blubber,
feathers, and beaks . Polar bears
and penguins do not like each other.

Movement
They use there flippers for balance.
Sometimes they toboggan on there
bellies.
They also love to waddle. They cant fly
but they have flippers so they can
swim at top speed of 5-15 miles
per hour .

The different types of
penguins are Adelie penguin
,African penguin ,chinstrap
penguin, emperor penguin ,
Galapagos penguin, gentoo
penguin, king penguin, little
blue penguin, Magellan
penguin, rock hopper
penguin, royal penguin, and
yellow-eyed penguin.

Reproduction
A baby penguin's egg is white
and gray. The egg is kept warm
by its parents, but some times
the egg does not survive
because of the ice, and the
coldness, because some
penguins are kept in zoos.
because if you put all the
penguins in the world in a zoo
you need a mighty big zoo.
Some chicks don’t make it
because of the cold. Some
penguins hold there eggs

foot on dry land. King
penguins are kept in
many zoos around

penguins can grow to
be as tall as a grown
man.
