Congratulations on your admission to Michigan State University Dubai! You’re a Spartan now!
You will receive the four weekly issues of the Freshman Newsletter to help you prepare for your first year. The
newsletter will provide you with important dates and information to remember, as well as tips and advice to help
you make the most of your experience.
Have You Been to Academic Orientation?
The Academic Orientation Program (AOP) for new students is where you will meet with an academic adviser, plan
a course schedule, enroll in classes, and receive information on a variety of resources and services available at
MSU Dubai. For more information, please visit http://dubai.msu.edu/future/orientation.
Students need to attend both days of either session A or B for Academic Orientation:
Session A: August 26 & August 27 or Session B: August 30 & August 31
Your Parents are Invited
While you attend Academic Orientation, your parents may attend Parent Orientation, from 10:30 a.m. ‐ 1:30 p.m.
on the first day (Aug. 26 or Aug. 30) to learn about many of the same resources and services you will be informed
about. Your parents are also invited to attend the Opening Convocation at 5:00 p.m. on September 1st.
