Get Out of the Sun! Come Hang Out in Diven’s Den 1950s Family Fun Fair
The Laurel Museum is happy to offer an interactive space for kids at the Laurel Museum. Come by when we’re open (Wed & Fri 10-2, Sun 1-4) to spend some time in Diven’s Den. This area provides a number of interactive toys that were developed in the 1950s. Join in the fun with Paint (color) by Number, Mr. Potato Head and Hula Hoop.
The 1950s Family Fun Fair was fun for the entire family. More pictures are available online: http://www.laurelhistoricalsociety.org/page s/1950sFamilyFunFair.htm
The Laurel Museum needs YOUR help planning our next exhibit! We need YOUR help in telling the story of Laurel in 2010! We are putting together an exhibit advisory group that will help guide the Museum in understanding what Laurel is like today. This group will also work with the community to find images that illustrate life in Laurel today. This is an excellent opportunity for scout groups, school groups, and home school groups to become involved in a project with real results! For more information: Email: director@laurelhistoricalsociety.org A Special Thanks! The Laurel Historical Society would like to thank Laurel Elementary School for their visits this spring to the Laurel Museum. We hope they had as much fun as we did!
