STEPHANIE HALLER
Co-founder and Co-President of the Lady Cobras, Stephanie currently coaches the NY Lady
Cobras 16U Black Showcase team.
Coach Haller, originally from the Pittsburgh Area, is a graduate of Mars Area High School where
she was the Planets' starting catcher for four years, serving as captain for two. Coach Haller
was a member of the Pittsburgh Spirit Travel Softball Organization from 1997-1999. Coach
Haller was selected to the 2000 North American Select team that took first place in the 2000
World Cup of Softball in Lyon, France.
After high school, Coach Haller played Division I softball at Manhattan College. While at
Manhattan, Stephanie served as co-captain her senior year. A four year member of the MAAC
All-Academic team, she received both the Verizon Academic All-American Award and the Most
Outstanding Performer Award. Stephanie graduated spring 2003 with a degree in Biology and
Chemistry. She was a member of the 2005 NYC Empire State Games softball team.
Stephanie started her coaching career as volunteer coach for 14U Hudson Valley Express
Softball (Poughkeepsie, NY). In the spring/summer of 2004, she volunteered at the Ozone-
Howard Little League, coaching the Majors division (10-12 years old) and the 12U All-Star team.
In the winter of 2005, Coach Haller co-founded the NY Lady Cobras. Over the past 7 seasons
with the Cobras, Coach Haller has won numerous travel ball tournaments at all age levels
including: Union, NJ Summer Slam (10U, 2005), Hillsborough, NJ Hustle Tournament (14U,
2008), Cocoa Beach, FL Memorial Tournament (14U, 2008), LAC Splash (14U, 2008), Triple
Crown Uniondale Summer Breeze Runner-up (14U, 2010), Fire & Ice Tournament (14U, 2010),
Charlie Kearney Memorial Tournament Runner-up (16U, 2010), and Halloween Havoc
Showcase Runner-up (16U, 2010). This fall, the 16U Black Showcase team has already won
their first tournament – Island Fastpitch Showcase at Baseball Heaven (16U, 2011).
Stephanie has also done private and group instruction outside of the Cobras. She has been an
instructor at Batter-Up (Howard Beach), On Deck Batting (Mineola), Frozen Ropes (Garden
City) and most recently Sportsplex (Bellmore). Coach Haller has been involved with the NY
Mets Softball Academy.
