Creating a Webdav connection to a NetFiles folder
In Windows VISTA
Creating a connection to your NetFiles Home directory
Note: in order to use this feature you need to be running Windows Vista SP2 or later.
Click “Start.”
Select “Computer.”
Open the Context menu (right-click or press the Context key).
Select "Map Network Drive..."
Press Enter.
When prompted for the Internet or Network address, enter the following information, replacing
“{InternetID}” with your university user name.
https://netfiles.umn.edu/users/{InternetID}
Click Finish.
When prompted for a user name and password, enter your university user name and password.
A network drive will appear in the Computer folder. You can drag files to and from this folder and open files as you
would for any other drive.
Creating a connection to your NetFiles DS directory

A network drive will appear in the Computer folder. You can copy files from this folder as you would for any other
drive.
