Fun Party Games
All sit in a circle. Pass cards around telling people to keep them hidden; the
person with the ace of spades is the murderer. When he is ready, the
Murderer winks at people in the circle. Anyone who sees that they have been
winked at lets out a blood-curdling scream and dies. If someone thinks they
know who the murderer is, they ask everyone to put there hands out into the
centre of the circle. Everyone closes their eyes and the person guessing
touches the hand of the person they think is the murderer. If they are wrong,
they are out of the game and the murderer is free to carry on…until they are
found out or they murder everyone!

Blind mans bluff - Fun Party Games
Blind man’s bluff is a children’s game played in a spacious enclosed area,
such as a large room, in which one player, designated as “It,” is either
blindfolded or closes his or her eyes. The It player gropes around blindly and
attempts to touch the other players without being able to see them, while the
other players scatter and try to avoid and hide from the person who is “it”,
sometimes teasing them to make them change direction. The game is a
variant of tag.
There are several versions of the game:
In another version, whenever any player is tagged by the person who
is “it”, that player is out of the game. The game proceeds until all
players are out of the game, at which point another round of the game
starts, with either the first player or the last player to be tagged
becoming the next person who is “it”.
In yet another version, It feels the face of the person tagged and
attempts to identify the person, and only if the person is correctly
identified does the person become “it”.
A children’s game similar to blind man’s bluff is Marco Polo, with the main
difference being that Marco Polo is played in a swimming pool and the one
that is “it” calls out “Marco” to which the other players must reply “Polo.”
Thus indicating their position and making it easier for the person who is It to
go in the right direction.
The game is known as blind man’s buff in the UK and Ireland, buff meaning a
small push. It is possible that the American name is a corruption, or it may
originate from the older sense of bluff meaning to blindfold .
Blind man’s bluff should be played in an area free of dangerous obstructions
so that the It player will not suffer injury from tripping over or hitting
something
The Mafia Game - Teenage Birthday Party Games / Drinking Game
Intro:
“This game is the best party game I have ever played.”
It can be expanded to a drinking game or you can keep individual scores, but
mostly it is just a blast as is.
Number of People:
You need at least 3 people, the more the better.
Equipment:
A deck of cards, or another way to secretly determine which people will be
the “undercover cops”.
Concept:
Imagine the group of people are mafia members in a meeting, however the
group has been infiltrated by a small number of undercover cops, and the
mafia members know this, they have also been informed of the number of
undercover cops.
The mafia will not rest until all of the undercover cops are dead, but as soon
as there is an equal number of cops to mafia members the cops have enough
power to capture the mafia members and win. The group votes to decide who
to whack.
Instructions:
For every 3 people there will be one undercover cop (you can tweak this ratio
to make it harder or easier). Say there are 9 people: get 3 aces, and 6 other
cards, put them in a pile and have each person pull a card, if you get an ace
you are a cop.
Choose one person to be the announcer, the announcer says “everyone put
your heads down and close your eyes”
Wait 3 seconds, then say “undercover cops open your eyes and determine
who your partners are”
Wait 3 seconds, then say “undercover cops close your eyes”
Wait 3 seconds, then say “everyone open your eyes”
The fun begins.
There are no rules to the game, except you cannot touch anybody or their
card. If you are an undercover cop you will have to lie a lot. If you are in a
religious group you may want to make a rule that you can’t “swear on the
bible”, or “swear on your dead grandmothers grave”. You can ask anyone any
question. You will notice undercover cops acting suspiciously, when a cop is
being questioned his/her partner may try to shift attention away from that
person onto someone else… there are a lot of strategies that can be used.
When the group is coming to a decision whether they want to whack a
person, one person will raise his/her hand and say “I’m voting to whack so
and so”, then other people will raise their hand of they agree, as soon as the
majority of people have voted this person is whacked and they must reveal
their card.
The “majority” is as follows: If there are 6 people alive, then there will be 5
people voting against one person, there must be 3 votes in favor of whacking
the person. If there are 7 people in the group, there will be 6 people voting
against one person, there must be 4 votes in favor of whacking the person.
The game ends when all cops are killed, or there are the same number of
cops and mafia members, in this case the cops win.
Variations:
You can have dead mafia members still be apart of the game, they just can’t
vote, this makes it easier for the mafia because you know you can trust what
this person is saying.
Generally dead cops should stop playing entirely, they will only hurt the cops
by giving away their partner(s). If the game is competitive I recommend the
cops leave the room - although this isn’t as fun. When playing it with 3 cops,
I was the only cop left and there were 4 people left, when we killed off a
mafia member one of the dead cops got up and high fived me thinking we
had won! GAME OVER.
Drinking rules:
Make up your own… here are some examples: At the end of the game, all
members of the losing team drink. Or you can drink for each fallen comrade.
Piggy Back Race
Fun Party Games
Split your party into two or more teams with an even number in each team.
When you start the race, the first pair in each team must “piggy back” up the
room (or garden), and back. Going one way the first person jumps on the
other’s back to be carried. Coming back the roles are reversed. If you are
being carried, no part of your body can touch the ground - otherwise you
start your turn again.
Once the first pair makes it back, the next pair in the team can start.
First team to finish wins.
British Bulldog
Fun Party Games
You need to play this outside, with a good length playing area that has two
distinct ends. The ends must be marked out with a line, or a wall, or just two
objects on the ground.
One person is the bulldog and stands in the middle of the play area. All the
remaining players gather at one end of the area. When the bulldog shouts
“Go”, everyone must run to the other end without being tagged by the
bulldog. If you are tagged you become an extra bulldog and help in the next
go. If you reach the other end you cannot be tagged.
The bulldog then shouts “Go” again and everyone dashes back to the other
end.
Repeat this process until one player is left as the winner.
Trouser snake - teenage party games
This game sounds perverted but is a lot of fun especially for teenagers and
adults. If you are looking for a fun adult birthday party game then add this to
the list.
Divide your party into teams of between 3 and 6. Make sure couples are split
up. Prepare a ball of string for each team.
The game is straightforward - on the word go each team must pass the string
down the trousers/skirt/dress of the first player, back up the
trouser/skirt/dress of the second player and so on until everyone is linked.
The ends of the piece of string must be tied to finish. The fastest team wins.
A good game to break the ice, and excellent for getting singles together.
