The thing that impressed me the most in this unit was city life and how
people lived in the factorised cities during the industrial revolution was
horrifying yet I wanted to learn more about it

What have I learnt this unit?
In this unit I have learned how did the industrial revolution start and how
was city life during the industrial revolution. I have also learned in this unit
about child labour during the industrial revolution. I sort of know the big
inventions and the killer diseases during the industrial revolution. I also
learned about the cures of cholera and chicken pox and who made the cures
ATL skills used in this unit (look in planner for these.)
Thinking skills are used best in this unit, I like to use mind maps/ spider
webs to help me plan an essay and I’m a visual learner I believe that
thinking skills are used best for me.
AOI focus area – What did I learn about in relation to the AOI studied?
AOI: Health & Social Ed
How did I display this? ; I learned about how there were poor health in the
industrial revolution, how city life was , I also learned about the diseases
breakthroughs during the industrial revolution , I’ve learned about child
labour too.

My learner profile characteristics I have displayed would be risk taker;
because I answered some questions without knowing the answers.

Payback time
For me, the most useful aspect of this unit was when I did some research in
the library and found some really good books and website that helped me
with my essay
And next…
I could improve my work by doing some more research more mind maps
and checking out more books from the library to do some research on the
industrial revolution.
