NEW MEETING NIGHT in 2011: Because of falling attendance the Board decided last Nov. to in-
vestigate another meeting night. We found a lot of our members took evening art classes either Mon. &
Wed., or Tues. & Thurs. So we asked the administrator of the Veterans Senior Center if they were still
charging $50 an hour for Friday nights and found they no longer do! Therefore the art group has moved
back to its former Friday meeting night. Please note this on your new 2011 calendars, with 2 excep-
tions (April and Nov) we will meet on the 3rd Fridays.
UPCOMING PROGRAMS: Feb. 25th - TERRI HILL, watercolor; March 25th -To be announced; A-
pril 15th - SONJA HAMILTON, watercolor, loose floral; May 27th - LAURIE JOHNSON, oil portrait.
Check our website for resume on these demonstrators.
MEMBER ACTIVITIES: Nine of our members are currently in a group exhibit at the downtown RC
LIBRARY during Jan and Feb. They include Alisan Andrews, Isabelle de la Tullaye, Ann Gahagen,
Shirley Green, Johanna Kar, Gail Lynch, LaVey Norquist, Gisela Rabdau & Camilla Roos.
Congratulations to Anne Oseberg who won 2nd Place at SWA’s winter theme exhibit which runs
through January. The gallery is in the front of the RC Art Center, 2600 block of Broadway (just off El
Camino Real), Redwood City. Other SAG members in this exhibit are Edna Acri, Alisan Andrews, Cath-
erine Delfs, Jason Dunn and Camilla Roos.
2011 SAG DUES are now Due! After doubling our dues last year, we now find we can cover all our
annual expenses, so they remain the same. Full members $30, and Associate* members $5 (*These are
spouses of full members, non-painters interested in art, or inactive former members who simply want to
keep receiving our newsletter). The prorating of dues voted in last Fall only applies to new persons who
join SAG during the year.
Send your check made out to “Sequoia Art Group” to SAG Treasurer Sharon Hogan, 1220 Tasman Dr.,
