Please join us in Saskatoon for the Toon Town Western Classic Diving Competition. The

Saskatoon Diving Club welcomes the athletes, coaches, officials, family members and

spectators to enjoy a weekend full of friendly, spirited competition.



The Shaw Centre, home of the Saskatoon Diving Club, was opened in September 2009

and was host to the 2010 Senior Summer Nationals.



The facilities include:

2 – 1M Duraflex Springboards

2 – 3M Duraflex Springboards

1/2m Mini-platform

Trampoline & Spotting Rig

Concrete Platforms covered in a rubberized surface: 3M, 5M, 7.5M and 10M

Built-in water sprayers under each springboard and platforms

Please note: Entries received after midnight, April 22nd, will be charged an additional

late fee of $20.00 per athlete, to a maximum of $100.00.



Dive Sheets:

We will be using the Rezman scoring system. Clubs should prepare their athletes lists

using the “Dive Sheet Generator” and submitting them by e-mail via Dive Sheet Generator, or

email to toontown.sdc@sasktel.net

Please refer to the Diving Plongeon Canada Rule Book regarding dive sheet

submissions (Pages R-7 and R-8). Dive lists must be submitted at least 24 hours before the

scheduled start of the event. Late sheets will be assessed a penalty of $25.00 per late dive sheet

up to a maximum of $100.00 per day per club. No changes to dive sheets within 1 hour of the

scheduled start of the event.

Dive Lists will be posted in the morning of each day for all events that day, for

checking purposes. No changes to Dive Sheets 1 hour prior to the scheduled time of events.

DIVE REQUIREMENTS:



Please see the DPC rule book page R32 for Dive Requirements. All age group and senior events

will be run in the same format as the National Championships. Dive sheets must be filled out

accordingly.

Open events will be options only. All events will be straight finals, no cuts.





HOSPITALITY:



The Saskatoon Diving Club has the reputation of offering the “Best in the West”

This year we are proud to have our hospitality room catered professionally, by Georgio’s,

they are the restaurant at Shaw Centre. They will be providing meals in the designated

hospitality room for all athletes, coaches, and officials, like all other meets. Because the

hospitality room is being catered professionally we are not offering weekend passes, for

all attending, just athletes, coaches, and officials. The Saskatoon Diving Club Hospitality

room is located near the main entrance of the Shaw Center in the Meeting Room, to the

right of the stairs leading to the spectator area.



* Georgio’s restaurant will be available to parents, spectators and other guest

traveling with the team. They have good selection of healthy choices to choose from, at

very reasonable cost. The restaurant is located at the front doors as you enter the building.



ACCOMMODATION:

*Note all rooms blocked are under the Saskatoon Diving Club



1. Best Western Blairmore Hotel, 306 Shillington Cres, (306) 242-2299, 13 rooms

available. Two queen beds, microwave, fridge, flat screen TV, and wireless internet, pool

waterslides, and full continental breakfast $127.50/night. Rooms held until April 15th,

2011. If weather is nice it is with in walking distance, ½ km to pool.



2. Travelodge Hotel Saskatoon, 106 Circle Dr W, 1-888-278-4209, (306) 242-8881, 8

rooms available. Two queen beds, microwave, fridge, Rucker’s Express, Pizza Hut

Express, and 250ft waterslides, $129.95/night. Room held until April 6th 2011. Distance

to pool is approximately 5km.

Kings with pullout $149.00, 25 Junior Kings with pullout $139.00 per/night. Fitness facilities,

COMPETITION SCHEDULE:



All springboard events will be run simultaneously. There will be a closed practice before each

event of no less than 20 minutes. Events may run up to 1 hour ahead of schedule.

The Technical Director reserves the right to amend this schedule upon receipt of entries.

A final schedule will be received to clubs by April 27th. The days the events are on

will not change.
