Then right after, “Summer 2001” appears.
EXT. Street- Night.
Six teenagers are sitting at and standing near a car.
The teenagers are smoking and/or drinking alcohol.
KATIE
(Complaining)
I’m really bored guys,
Can we go hang out somewhere else?
MATT
Yeah, like where?
(He looks around)
This place is kind of boring.
MIKE
Yeah, I guess…
(Pause)
Hey, I know!
Lets go hang out in the Woods off of George St.
PEYTON
Those woods give me the creeps,
There is no way I’m going.
JON
(Annoyed)
C’mon!
There ain’t anything to be afraid off.
MATT
It’s not like you have anything better to do.
PEYTON
I just don’t know, okay?
MIKE
It’ll be cool. We’ll just stay by the car, we won’t stay
long… Just till 3, okay?
JON
Pate, I promise, we’ll be okay. Nothings gonna happen,
okay?
PEYTON
(Looking mad)
Argh! Okay. Fine, but I’M driving!
They all enter the car. The car starts and takes off
into the dark.
CUT TO:
EXT. Woods- Night.
The teenagers get out of the car. They walk over to
the ground and sit. Matt sits down and Katie slowly sits
on him and kisses him. They make out.
JON
Please, get a room!
KATIE
(Mad)
God, your such an asshole!
C’mon Matt, lets go “Get a room”.
Katie storms off. Matt quickly gets up and follows
her.
PEYTON
I hope they can find another way home!
What a bitch!
GWEN
Jon, can we go for a walk?
JON
Sure babe.
MIKE
Can we come too?
PEYTON
Mike! I don’t wanna stray from the car too much!
MIKE
Oh Pate, we’ll all stay together, don’t worry.
PEYTON
Fine.
They all start to walk in the direction that Matt and
Katie went in.
CUT TO:
EXT. Woods- Night.
Katie and Matt are making out. Katie grabs Matt’s
shirt and pulls it off. Katie starts to unbutton her
blouse, then stops when she sees a light in the distance.
KATIE
Matt.
What’s that?
She points to the direction of the light.
MATT
Don’t worry about it.
No one lives here.
KATIE
C’mon. Let’s see what it is.
Katie gets up and buttons her blouse up. Matt puts
his shirt in his pocket, so it is hanging out. They both
walk towards the light.
They get close. Close enough to realize it is a
house.
KATIE
No one lives here, huh?
MATT
Well, he does.
Matt points to the window where there is a man
sleeping on a chair.
KATIE
Let’s knock!
MATT
What are you crazy??
You’ve seen those movies where teenagers (like us) disturb
a hick (like him) and the hick usually chases the teens
until they’re dead.
KATIE
Oh shut up!
Katie knocks on the door.
MATT
What are you gonna say?
KATIE
Have a little faith in me! I’m an actress.
Katie knocks again, but harder while facing Matt. She
turns to the door to see the man’s badly scarred face
pressed against the door.
JACKAL
What do you want?
Katie acts upset.
KATIE
Our car broke down not to far back. Do you have a phone we
could use, please?
JACKAL
Yes.
Come in.
INT. Jackal’s Home- Night.
The two enter the house. The man points to the couch
next to the door.
MAN
Only the boy can use the phone.
You, girl, sit down and wait for your friend.
KATIE
(looking worried)
Okay.
Jackal and Matt exit the room.
INT. Jackal’s Kitchen- Night.
Matt looks around curiously.
JACKAL
The phone-
(Points to the small table)
There.
MATT
Thanks.
Matt dials a number. He listens, but there is no dial
tone. He looks worried. He tries again. Still no tone.
MATT
Sir, um, I think your phone is dead.
JACKAL
Not as much as you are!
MATT
What?
Jackal pulls out a scalpel from his pocket and slices
Matt’s arm. Matt starts to run but the man grabs him and
drags him to the hallway and throws him quickly into the
bathroom.
INT. Jackal’s living room- Night
Katie is waiting impatiently. She is twiddling her
thumbs until she hears a thud. She looks nervous.
INT. Jackal’s Bathroom- Night.
Jackal pushes Matt into the shower where there are
handcuffs. The man cuffs Matt’s wrists and slices Matt’s
stomach vertically with the scalpel.
MATT
(As he is being cut)
No!
Help!
Ahhh!
INT. Jackal’s living room- Night.
Katie hears Matt’s cries for help. She jumps out of
the seat and looks scared.
INT. Jackal’s Bathroom- Night.
Jackal eyes Matt’s sliced stomach and licks his lips.
He gets closer to Matt and then rips his Stomach open.
This rip kills Matt.
JACKAL
Mm. The other white meat!
You seem very tender.
CUT TO:
INT. Jackal’s living room- Night.
Katie starts to walk slowly into the kitchen than into
the hallway. She is shaking with fear. She walks near the
bathroom door and is swiped into the bathroom by Jackal.
KATIE
Ahhh!
Jackal throws her into the shower.
JACKAL
You need to get cleaned up!
KATIE
Ahhh!
JACKAL
I can’t eat such a trashy girl like you.
Clean up! - NOW!!
Jackal grabs Katie by her hair and pulls out a
handful. She turns her head back and then sees Matt
hanging on the wall- dead.
KATIE
Holy Shit!
Ahhh!
Jackal turns on the water.
JACKAL
I want those pieces of metal out of you!
Katie is crying, but manages to take out three out of
four earrings.
KATIE
One is stuck.
JACKAL
Let me!
He grabs the earring and yanks it off the ear, taking
some ear with it.
KATIE
Owe!! You’re so fucking crazy!!
JACKAL
Tell me something I don’t know.
Take off your clothes.
Katie pulls off her shirt leaving her in her pants and
bra.
JACKAL
I’ll be back.
Be cleaned when I get back!
Jackal walks away. Katie looks back at her dead
boyfriend. She turns and pukes. She starts to pant and
cry harder. She closes the curtain and leaves a little
hole so she can peak out of. She peeks and quickly an axe
is shoved into her back. She dies. Blood oozes from her
mouth. Jackal closes the curtain completely and leaves the
water running.
CUT TO:
EXT. Woods- Night.
The other teenagers are still walking. Some are
smoking cigarettes.
GWEN
I’m so tired!
PEYTON
Same here!
Hey guys, can we go now?
JON
No, we need to find the two assholes first.
MIKE
Hey, do you guys see that?
They all look and see a light in the distance.
GWEN
What is it?
PEYTON
Don’t know… Don’t care… can we leave now?
MIKE
Let’s go check it out!
They all head in the direction of the light. They
finally get to it and realize it is a house. They all
approach the door and they knock few times. No one
answers. They walk in.
INT. Jackal’s House- Night.
PEYTON
We can’t just walk in!
JON
We just did.
MIKE
Yo, check and see if anyone is home guys.
PEYTON
Fine. I’ll check downstairs.
INT. Jackal’s Basement- Night.
Peyton walks down the stairs. The lights are off, but
little light shows. She walks in more and sees a figure.
PEYTON
Hello?
She receives no answer. Then, quickly, Jackal runs
towards her with a belt.
PEYTON
Ahhh!
Jackal throws her into a chair and puts the belt
around her arms. She screams more. He then grabs duct
tape and wraps in around the belts. He takes a stick and
hits her in the head. She faints.
INT. Jackal’s Bathroom- Night.
Gwen and Jon are snooping around the bathroom and Gwen
then opens the shower and sees the bodies.
GWEN
Ahhh!
Jon peers into the shower as well, he turns and throws
up.
JON
(Screaming)
Mike!
Pate!
Jon and Gwen rush into the hallway to find Mike.
MIKE
What are you yelling about?
GWEN
(In tears)
Matt and Katie are dead.
JON
We got to get the fuck out of here!
They all turn towards the basement door and see Jackal
in a white mask with long black hair on. He is holding a
gun.
JACKAL
My name is Jackal,
I will be eating you tonight.
Jon, Mike, and Gwen all run, Mike and Gwen make it
outside, but Jon’s arm is grabbed by Jackal.
JON
No!
Fucker!
JACKAL
There’s nowhere to run.
Jon kicks Jackal and grabs the gun.
JON
What now bitch?
JACKAL
Haha!
Jackal grabs a spear from a stand and stabs Jon in the
groin. Jon Cries out few words.
JON
Fuck… You…
Jon dies. Jackal drops the spear and walks outside
with a knife that he pulls from his boot.
EXT. Woods- Night.
Mike and Gwen are hiding behind a tree. They see
Jackal walk closer to them.
JACKAL
Here Kiddies!
Come out come out wherever you are!
MIKE
(Whispering)
When I say 3, run!
GWEN
(Whispering)
Okay.
MIKE
1…2…3!!!
They both run. Gwen is running faster than Mike.
Mike trips and falls. He gets up and doesn’t see Gwen
anywhere in site.
MIKE
(Yelling)
Gwen!
Gwen!
JACKAL
(Mimicking)
Gwen!
Ha ha!
MIKE
Fuck you!
Mike walks backwards and bumps into Jackal.
JACKAL
Hello.
MIKE
Oh shit!
Jackal takes Mike by the arm and tosses him against a
tree. He falls to the ground. He is breathing heavily.
As he tries to catch his breath and get up, Jackal takes
barb wire off of a tree adjacent to the tree Mike hit and
walks over to Mike.
MIKE
No!
I’m sorry, please!
Leave me alone!
Jackal wraps the wire around Mike’s neck and pulls
both ends. It slices Mike’s throat. He dies.
CUT TO:
INT. Jackal’s Basement- Night.
Peyton is just waking up. She starts to struggle with
the tape and belts. The belts are tight. She moves her
arms, trying to get loose. As she is doing this, her arms
bleed. She then pulls hard and breaks the arm off the
chair. She tries to scream in pain, but can’t. She feels
her lips with her loose hand. Her lips are glued shut.
She looks over to her side and sees molding glue opened on
the table.
PEYTON
(Muffled)
Ahhh!
She grabs a knife as she cries and cuts her lips open.
PEYTON
(Crying)
Owe!!
Help me, someone!
Owe!
She pulls hard on her arms and releases herself from
the chair. She unties herself and walks up the stairs.
CUT TO:
EXT. Woods- Night.
Gwen is walking. She is looking around her.
GWEN
Mike?
Please, Mike!
Say you’re here!
JACKAL
(As Mike)
I’m here.
GWEN
Oh thank God.
Where is he?
JACKAL
(As Mike)
He’s gone.
Don’t worry.
Come here.
GWEN
Where are you?
JACKAL
(As Mike)
Behind the tree.
Gwen walks over to the tree. She gets closer and
realizes its Jackal, not Mike.
GWEN
Ahhh!
No!
Leave me alone!
Jackal quickly whacks Gwen in the head. She faints.
INT. Jackal’s Home- Night.
Jackal opens the door and drags Gwen inside. He then
shuts the door. Gwen starts to wake up. Jackal walks over
to the basement door and opens it.
JACKAL
(Yelling down the stairs)
Hey, girl… You awake?
PEYTON
(Behind Jackal)
You betcha asshole!
Peyton kicks Jackal down the stairs. She walks over
to Gwen.
PEYTON
You okay?
GWEN
I think so.
PEYTON
C’mon, let’s get out of here.
Peyton and Gwen walk out of the house.
EXT. Woods- Night.
They both are having difficulties walking. They walk
for about a minute then turn around. In the doorway is
Jackal. He is standing there with a smile on his face.
GWEN
(To Peyton)
What the fuck does he want from us?
PEYTON
(To Gwen)
I dunno, but do you wanna stick around and find out?
GWEN
(To Jackal)
What do you want from us??
JACKAL
I just wanna eat you.
No problem with that, is there?
PEYTON
Oh there’s one fucking problem with that!
Peyton and Gwen start to turn and run when Jackal
pulls out a gun.
JACKAL
Both of you, stop and lay with your tummies on the ground!
... Now!
Peyton and Gwen both get on the ground. They both are
crying.
PEYTON
Why do you want us?
GWEN
Please! Let us go! We won’t tell anyone you did this,
please!
Peyton looks around her and sees a good sized rock
near her. She looks at Jackal as she slowly grabs the
rock.
JACKAL
You two do know you won’t get out of these woods alive,
right?
Jackal kneels down next to Peyton. Peyton gets the
rock ready.
JACKAL
You, I’ll kill first. You seem like a tuff one.
PEYTON
Let’s not.
Peyton shoves the rock hard into Jackal’s face. He
falls back and holds his face. Peyton and Gwen get up and
run.
GWEN
Where are we running to?
PEYTON
The car!
CUT TO:
EXT. Woods- Night.
A car goes past Peyton’s car. Peyton and Gwen get to
the car. They turn around and see Jackal coming towards
them.
GWEN
Pate! Hurry!
He’s coming!
PEYTON
I’m trying! Where the hell are my keys?
Gwen, do you have them?
GWEN
Why the fuck would I have them.
They turn and see Jackal jingling the keys in his
hand.
JACKAL
Where do you think your going?
PEYTON
Aw shit!
GWEN
Oh no!
Peyton turns around to see Jackal up close to her.
PEYTON
Gwen, run.
I got him.
GWEN
No!
PEYTON
Just go!
Gwen looks at Peyton in a shocked way and runs.
Jackal pulls out a scalpel and swipes it towards
Peyton. She moves.
PEYTON
So, Jackal
Ready to get your ass kicked?
JACKAL
(Smiling)
Ready to get your ass cut in half?
Peyton looks at him in terror as stabs her in the
chest. She falls to the ground.
PEYTON
No!
Get the fuck away!
Peyton turns around but Jackal stabs her hard five
more times in the back. She falls to the ground.
JACKAL
Ha ha!
CUT TO:
EXT. Woods- Night.
Gwen is in tears as she slows down and stops from
running. She sees Jackal walking towards her.
GWEN
Please!
Get away from me!
Let me live!
JACKAL
In my neck of the woods, there are no survivors… except me.
Gwen runs some more and trips over a small log. She
grabs it and holds it up.
GWEN
Well, in my neck of the woods,
I kill you and I survive!
Gwen gives Jackal one smooth hit in the head. He
falls to the ground. He has fainted. She steps back and
starts walking more into the woods.
Gwen looks behind her a few times, then realizes
Jackal is not dead. She starts to run but runs into
Jackal’s chest.
GWEN
Oh fuck!
JACKAL
As I said,
In my neck, I survive, you die!
Jackal reveals a mallet and holds it up. Gwen runs
and cries. She runs and finds a tree to hide behind.
POV: Gwen
Camera looks around tree and sees Jackal running to
it. The camera turns and then suddenly falls to the
ground. As it does, the screen goes black.
The screen stays black. Only sound is playing. It is
the sound of a mallet hitting a head. High pitched screams
are heard as well, then… silence.
CUT TO:
End credits.
