							   For the 8th consecutive year...
 hundreds of Orange County
 fifth-graders are being treated to a
 live history lesson courtesy of local
 veterans.
   The event featured six different
 stations... all staffed by Orange
 County veterans.
   The students learned something
 different about the military at each
 stop.
   Nearly two dozen veterans run
 the event... which is funded by the
 Orange County Veterans Advisory
 Council.
   Each year... invitations go out to
 fifth graders at every school in
 Orange County.

For the fifth graders, this is the first year that they receive US History and
Civics..And we feel, as former military, all of us, they do not get proper
introduction to World War 1, World war 2, Vietnam, Iraqi, Freedom

  More than three thousand
 Orange county fifth-graders have
 attended presentations like this...
 which take place twice annually
 near the Court of Honor outside the
 Hall of Administration.
