refit

Missions Change Quickly
– Evolving Equipment: New tactical equipment is Here and more is
coming

• Commanders are thinking outside the box; SASO
environment requires innovative, responsive solutions
to simulations support
• Most collective training is no longer stand alone. We
train by stimulating C4ISR systems and operating
Networks.
• ABCS is hard, training delta does not support
deployment schedule, replacements
• We are at the mercy of the ABCS development
community! (not working together; trainers and
simulations are always playing catch-up)
– Proprietary software costs and fees are an unacceptable burden on
scarce resources.
– Soldiers understand the Windows based environments

• MOUT Site (57 buildings, integrating
instrumentation,simulation and AAR)
• Home Station Instrumentation (CTC like
experience for CO to BN)
• Integrating LIVE, VIRTUAL, AND
CONSTRUCTIVE simulations into a Common
Synthetic environment
• Tailor training for deploying and deployed
units (using existing sims/stims in new ways)
• Distributed Training/Reach (Satellite link to
deployed units)
