Dressage with Soul Clinic
This clinic are designed to bring Harmony to you, as a Rider. It further goes to bring harmony to
the relationship between you and your horse.
The exercises covered help to build suppleness, strength and flexibility throughout your whole
body to allow you to use light aids, to flow with increased freedom which subsequently allows your
horse to move with greater freedom and energy. Overall creating brilliance and harmony -
bringing beauty back to dressage.
The meditation exercises used focus on creating one-pointedness for greater concentration – also
reducing stress and increasing awareness throughout your whole self – a goal of any athlete.
The use of Energy flow throughout your body creates awareness of motion and movement and
the possibilities of true syncronicity.
The riding exercises allow you to experience under saddle mind, breath and body awareness
developed through the unmounted exercises.
The assessements undertaken identify restrictions and idiosyncrancies that hamper your riding and
reduce your effectiveness.
The results are:
- a rider with a more effective and quieter position
- quieter, more effective aids
- more ethical training methods
- a body that moves more freely with reduced restriction
- a mind that is calm and thinking clearly within the riding activity
- a horse that is responsive, free and easy to ride
- a better `way of going´that substantially increases competition scores (up to 10%!)
- techniques that you can use at home and in competitions again and again
- allows more power, energy, increased rhythm and balance into your dressage!
What to Bring/Wear.
- Comfortable breeches – that you can bend and stretch in.
- Gaitors or boots with Zips that can be removed and put on easily
- Normal riding attire – boots, safety helmet, warm clothing that can be removed when
necessary – avoid vests and bulky wear – we need to be able to see how your body
moves when you ride, so please, no puffer jacket or vests. Better to wear thin layers that
can be removed if necessary and a warm jacket.
- For the horse: please ride in a snaffle/hannovarian bridle unless you particularly have to
use a double for the comfort of the horse. If you have control problems, please use a basic
D-ring snaffle and we will fix this throughout the clinic.
Food & Accommodation
- Bring a cut lunch or a lunch that can be grabbed quickly and eaten in a short time. The
clinic is running on a tight timeframe into a reduced format so time is limited and local
facilities will be limited.
