PRESS RELEASE World Class Dance and Acrobatic training arrives in the Ozarks.
Yelena Serykh has purchased the 16 year old Premiere Dance Academy located in the Connell Building at 1651 Business Rt. Highway 65 in Hollister Mo. Her plans are to create a world class dance studio in the quaint small town of Hollister. This fulfils a dream she has had since she began her dance training as a small girl in Moscow. Yelena trained for 12 years at the Russian Academy of Art, Theater, and Dance and then completed her training as a graduate of the professional dance academy of Russia. She went on to be the winner of the USSR entertainment competition and was awarded the coveted title of “Recognized honored Artist of the Russian Federation. She has received many degrees and certifications including Ballet Master (choreography), Classical Dance Method, Ethnic and Historical Dance along with certification in Ballroom Dancing. Her past experience includes creating the routine for the Russian Ice skating champions Angelika Krylova and creating the choreography for Russian Ballroom champions. For the past 10 years Yelena has been performing with her husband Vadim on the Branson Bell Showboat. She and her husband have performed at the famed Hotel Metropol in Moscow. She has performed on numerous occasions at the Kremlin “Mosconcert” this event features only the most highly respected performers in Russia. She has performed many times for the President of Russia and has also received an award from our President Bush for her work. Yelena will be bringing her extensive and unique dance training and knowledge to the New Premiere Dance Academy offering her extensive knowledge of all types of dance and acrobatics to Southwest Missouri. She is particularly interested in bringing ethnic dance training along with instruction in the national culture of the locations in which these dances were born. Her theatrical background and training have prepared her well in teaching and understanding all types of dance and acrobatics. Her husband Vadim, who won the championship of the Soviet Armed Forces, in 1982, will also be assisting Yelena in her endeavors.
Ami Bremer, Kathie Breeck, Gareth Sever and Shari Miller will continue to be part of the faculty at Premiere.
