(v 1) I, the Lord of sea and sky, Chorus

All who dwell in dark and sin, (v 4) I will break their hearts of stone,
My hand will save. Give them hearts for love alone.
I will speak my words to them.
Chorus Whom shall I send?
Here I am, Lord. Is it I, Lord?
I have heard you calling in the night. Chorus
I will go, Lord, if you lead me.
I will hold your people in my heart. (v 5) I, the Lord of wind and flame,
I will send the poor and lame.
(v 2) I, who made the stars of night, I will set a feast for them.
I will make their darkness bright. My hand will save.

'Til their hearts be satisfied.

Dear Heavenly Father, we who are Boy Scouts and Venturers pray for your guidance to make
our troop and crew a group of friends who love and serve you.
Teach us how to have wholesome fun together, but grant that we may do more than have a good
Give us a serious purpose. Make us earnest in our efforts to advance in our Scouting and
Keep us from being satisfied to remain where we are.
Urge us to press on toward the goal of achieving the higher ranks.
Make us ready to do a good turn for any person or cause that needs our help.
Save us from doing anything that would give the troop or crew a bad name or bring sorrow to
our leaders and parents.
Give us strength to do our duty to God and to our country and to live by the Scout and Venturing
Oath and Law. Amen.

A Servant’s Heart - Rich Hallberg

When night ends...
"How can we determine the hour of dawn - when the night ends and the day begins?" the rabbi
asked of his students.
"When, from a distance, you can distinguish between a dog and a sheep?" one of his students
"No" the rabbi answered.
"Is it when you can distinguish between a fig tree and a grapevine?" another student asked.
"No" he replied.
"Please tell us the answer, then" said the students.
"It is when you can look into the face of a human being and have enough light to recognize in
him your brother," the wise teacher replied. "Until then, it is night, and the darkness is still with
Amazing Grace How precious did that grace appear
How sweet the sound that saved a wretch The hour I first believed.
I one was lost but now I’m found, Through many dangers
Was blind, but now I see. Toils and snares I had already gone
‘Tis grace that led me safe this far
Was grace that taught my heart to fear And grace will lead me home.
And grace my fears relieved
Prayer Composed By Chief Yellow Lark

Oh, Great Spirit, whose voice I hear in the winds and whose breath gives life to all the world,
I come before you, one of your many children.
I am weak and small.
I need your strength and wisdom.
Let me walk in beauty and make my eyes ever behold the red and purple sunset; my ears sharp
so I may hear your voice.
Make me wise, so I may learn the things you have taught my people, the lessons you have
hidden under every rock and leaf.
I seek strength, not to be superior to my brothers, but to be able to fight my greatest enemy--
Make me ever ready to come to you with clean hands and straight eyes, so whenever life fades,
like the fading sunset, my spirit will come to you without shame.
Some minds are like concrete, thoroughly mixed up and
Peace starts with a smile.
Opportunity may knock once, but temptation bangs on your
front door forever.
It is easier to preach ten sermons than it is to live one.
He who angers you, controls you!
