SANCTIONS
Sanctions are a part of the Oklahoma County Drug Court Program to assist
the participant in recognizing behaviors that may result in dismissal from the
program. Sanctions will be progressive in nature and applied on a case by case
basis.
Sanctions are the result of the participant failing to comply with the
requirements of the Drug Court Program. Sanctions will be discussed at staffing,
among team members, and the appropriate sanction will be applied based on the
individual participant.
Sanctioned offenses can include but are not limited to: positive/missed
urinalysis, missed meetings, missed call-in’s, tardiness to scheduled sessions or
court, failing to bring verification of meeting attendance to court, and behavior
not conducive to recovery.
Sanctions may include one of or a combination of the following, depending
on prior sanctions imposed:
Increased urinalysis;
Increased court appearance;
Additional self help treatment;
Additional meetings;
Writing an essay on a Drug Court related topic;
Community Service;
Incarceration in Oklahoma County Jail;
Re-phase to an earlier phase of treatment;

Sanctions
Placement in Community Residential treatment for specified period;
Increased level of supervision;
Facilitating treatment group;
Re-evaluation of treatment plan;
Bond Forfeiture Alias Warrant (BFAW) ;
Termination Status; and
Revocation.
INCENTIVES
Incentives are immediate acknowledgement that goals are being
accomplished. Those goals include meeting or exceeding treatment
requirements, providing additional support to new participants,
exhibiting drug-free behavior, repeated compliance and exceeding
treatment plan goals.
Free urinalysis;
Movie Passes;
Passes to local recreational parks;
Permission to travel out of county/state;
Modifying treatment requirements;
Reduction of required Community Service;
Assistance meeting basic living needs.
