Approval of Minutes- The minutes of last meeting, October 28, were discussed. The wording under new business, section F, was reviewed and rewritten. Jim Barns made a motion, with a second by Tim Weeks, to approve the minutes with the revised wording. There was unanimous approval. 3. Treasurer’s Report- Bonnie Emmertz Bonnie reported that the balance remains the same as reported at previous meeting. There has been no activity since then. The 2010 baseball budget was reviewed. Jim Barns stated that he would be able to get four Red Sox tickets to one game to use as a possible raffle. Mark Franco also said that he has to ability to purchase some good seats at a Red Sox game at face value. If needed, this could be another option for fund raising in the future. The Clynk bags will be used to replace the previous bottle redemption funds (Keeley and the Hannaford’s Shed). Each family will be asked to fill four Clynk bags. There was discussion around why a booster has to purchase the Turface for the mound and plate areas, and why the town does not do more to help out in that area of maintenance. It was discussed that it may be helpful to have Rick Peruzzi come over and work with the maintenance, around March or April, and demonstrate the proper care of the mound and plate areas. 4. Old Business- A.) Varsity Coach Introduction- Kevin Winship was introduced as the new varsity coach. Kevin shared his background as well as his coaching philosophy and how he hopes to see the season run. Kevin is very excited about the upcoming season and is looking forward to the job as varsity coach. Kevin also provided the boosters with a wish list of items he would like to have for the team. One of these items was a bullpen. He has received the okay from Todd Livingston to put a bullpen on the Falmouth side. He also got an estimated cost for bullpen construction of $800-$1000 from Rick Peruzzi who would be able to complete the work around March/April. This would be a two year commitment as one bullpen would be installed now for Falmouth and one for the opposing teams next year. Boosters did not yet vote on spending money for this project. Some of the other items on the wish list included a first base screen, an L-screen, a soft toss screen, and varsity practice gear (sweat pants and sweat shirts). The 1 group discussed purchasing these items now for a total cost of $1360.75. BJ Weeks made the motion, with a second by Ron, to purchase these items. A vote was taken and there was unanimous approval. Other items on the wish list will be discussed at a later date. 5. New Business- A.) Discuss next meeting date- The annual meeting will take place on Wednesday, December 2, at 7:00 and will be held in the Library at Falmouth High School. Respectfully submitted, BJ Weeks Secretary, FHSBB 2
