INVITATION
Dear Mr. President,
All-Russian Sambo Federation has an honor to invite You and delegation of your country
to take part in the International sambo competitions “Russian Federation President’s
Cup”, which will be held in Moscow from February 14th to 16th 2008 in the sport hall
“Friendship” in Luzhniki sport complex.
PROGRAM
February 14th - Day of arrival
17.00-18.00 - Weigh-in and draw of athletes
February 15th
10.00 - Beginning of competitions. Preliminary bouts
18.00 - Opening ceremony, Finals
February 16th - Departure of teams
Participants
The following weight categories for men are allowed to compete: 52, 57, 62, 68, 74, 82,
90, 100 and +100 kg, plus 2 weight categories of combat sambo: 90, +100 kg.
For the participation in the President’s Cup the strongest athletes of the world and Europe
are invited: from Bulgaria, Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, South Korea, Georgia,
Mongolia, Venezuela, Spain, Germany, France, Lithuania, Latvia, Japan, Italy,
Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Armenia and Russia.
Composition of official delegation:
The personal invitation will be sent for each athlete of the concrete country.
From each country only one athlete in each weight category should compete.
Conditions and regulations
The competitions will be held in accordance with FIAS Rules.
These are individual-team competitions with Olympic system without consolation.
Each athlete should pass medical control 3 days before his departure for the competitions.
The results of the medical control must be registered in the wrestler’s license.
The Organizing committee guarantees the fist medical aid for all members of sport
delegations.
Only referee/judge of international category is allowed to referee/judge the competitions.
Awarding
The team-winner will be awarded with the challenge RF President’s Cup. The athletes
have taken the prize places will be awarded with medals, diplomas, cups and valuable
gifts, according their prize-places.
Financial conditions
For these competitions we are

The Organizing Committee of the President’s Cup will bear staying expenses (board and
lodging) for all participants of the tournament (athletes, coaches, officials). Travel
expenses to the venue of competitions and return at the expense of participating
countries.
Medical insurance
Each participant of the competitions should have medical insurance (original) from
injuries, damage to health and life which will be presented to the Organizing Committee.
Medical insurance of the participants is made at the expense of participating countries.
Entries
All participants of the President’s Cup will be provided with visa support necessary to
receive entry visa to Russia in the Russian Embassies and General Consulates.
The Name list of each delegation for visa support should be sent to the address of our
Federation till January 15th 2008 and include the following: passport copies of all
members of the delegation, dates of arrival and departure, place(city) where you will
apply entry visa, address of your Federation (tel/fax).
Team Heads upon arrival should present to the Secretariat of the competitions the
following documents:
- application by weight categories
- passport or identity card
- Medical insurance(original)
- National flag (1m x 2m) 2 pcs, National anthem on audio-cassette.
