requirement.
hammer must be hung carefully; do not put it in a
drawer as this can damage the blade
handsaw as clean as possible; leaning backwards
against a wall, preferable in a dry
environment, possibly lubricated
fencing pliers clean, lubricated, hanging up with the blade
covered
spirit level unopened in the tool box
spade/shovel may be kept in the tool box or hung in the
store cupboard
yard brush in a dry place, usually with the fencing
equipment e.g. staple container
chisel as clean as possible, leaning backwards
against a wall
measuring tape glass window cleaned, hanging safely

Join every hand tool with the correct carrying
requirement
hammer can be in the tool box but usually with the fencing
equipment e.g. with the staples
handsaw unopened in the tool box or on the
fencing pliers can be in the tool box or in a suitable container
with the handle upwards
tape measure horizontally with the bristles upwards; no
unnecessary pressure on the wooden handle
spirit level horizontally with the blade pointing downwards;
when walking, it can be carefully placed over the
shoulder
spade/shovel horizontally with the blade covered; care must be
taken of the teeth
yard brush with the blade covered; with the blade pointing
downwards when you are walking; can be in a
suitable tool box
chisel horizontally, safely, with no danger of the glass
window breaking
