RECIPE PORTFOLIO
Year 7, 2010, Assessment Task 2
NATURE OF TASK:
You are going to prepare your own personalised recipe book which you can keep and add
to throughout the years.
You are to prepare a scrapbook/recipe book which contains all the recipes we have
prepared in class this year and two of your own family favourites that are cooked at home. It
is to be neatly presented with type written recipes and contain borders, photographs,
diagrams or other visuals which relate to the item cooked. You are welcome to decorate it
as much or as little as you like but remember it should be representative of you.
SHARING YOUR FINDINGS:
RECIPE
1½ Cups Penne Pasta
1 cup Chopped Tomatoes
½ Onion, finely chopped
2 tsp chopped fresh basil
1 tbs oil
1. Bring ¾ large pot of water to
the boil.
2. Add pasta to the water.
3. Finely chop the onion.
4. Crush garlic
5. Heat oil in a small saucepan.
6. Add onion and garlic and
cook until soft.
7. Add Tomato and basil to the
onion and bring to the boil.
8. Reduce heat and simmer
sauce for 15 minutes.
9. Drain pasta when cooked
10. Present pasta in a bowl with
sauce on top.
You must present a collection of recipes which are in a folder
or bound together to make a book. It is important that you can add to the book in the future.
Your collection is to contain the following:
All the recipes prepared by the class (whether you cooked it or not)
At least two “family favourite” recipes from your family
Diagrams, journaling other interesting information about the recipes.
