Re: Direct Deposit Earnings Statements Available Online
Payroll Services is pleased to announce that UC Davis Direct Deposit earnings statements
(also known as “Surepay” statements) will soon be available online. Paper statements will
be discontinued in October following a 10-week transition to ensure that all employees
have access to their online statements.
Moving to online-only Direct Deposit statements is part of our mission to improve the
security of payroll data, improve cost efficiencies and support campus sustainability goals
by eliminating the printing, handling and mailing of paper Direct Deposit statements.
Beginning August 1, 2008, employees who receive their pay through Direct Deposit will
access their earnings statements via At Your Service Online, a secure and confidential
service of the UC Office of the President. Online statements will be available for viewing
as early as two calendar days before, and up to 18 months after, each payday. An e-mail
notification will be sent every pay period to advise employees when their statements are
available.
For the period of August 1, 2008 through October 15, 2008, both paper and online
statements will be issued. During this period of time, the paper versions of Direct
Deposit statements will continue to be printed and distributed in the usual manner.
Employees will be able to compare the paper version to the identical online version to
ensure accessibility and become comfortable with the new process.
The last distribution of paper Direct Deposit statements will be October 1, 2008 for
monthly-paid employees and October 15, 2008 for biweekly-paid employees.
The At Your Service Online (AYSO) Web site can be accessed from any computer with
an internet connection, including a home computer. Detailed login instructions and other
resources for assistance can be found on the Payroll Services Web site:
http://payroll.ucdavis.edu .
Any employee who does not have access to a computer or who is otherwise unable to
obtain their earnings statement online, may request to receive on-going paper versions of
the Direct Deposit statements by completing the Online Earnings Statement Exception
form available on the payroll website. This form will also be used to revoke requests for
paper versions of the Direct Deposit statement.
