PMP Study Group
The KC Mid-America Chapter of PMI is happy to announce the formation of the January 2011 PMP Study
Group.

This study group will run for 7 weeks on Monday evenings 6:00-8:30 PM from January 24 to March 7, 2011.
Two PMBOK® knowledge areas will be covered each week. The format of the sessions is open discussion and
walkthrough of sample exam questions with PMP proctors providing guidance and insights into how the
questions should be answered. The sessions are very interactive but, this is not a PMP Prep Class.
Fees & Study Materials
The cost of the Study Group is $70 for PMI members and $85 for Guests. This covers the cost of the Crosswind
Exam Simulation Software for each participant. This is also the software that will be used during the study
sessions.
If you already own a copy of the Crosswind Exam Simulation Software 4th edition, you may register at the
discounted rate listed as "Member or Guest owns Crosswind Exam Software for PMBOK v4". You must also
present your Software CD or proof of ownership at the first study group session. Direct registration questions to

Additional Crosswind Study materials are available for purchase during registration: Crosswinds Process
Placemat for $13, PMP Exam Success Series Certification Exam Manual for $51. Both items are highly
recommended unless you already have something comparable. More information on the study Crosswind Study

Participants should also have a copy of The PMBOK® Guide, Fourth Edition (2008) and bring it to each
session for reference.
Cancellation & Late Fees
There will be a $10 late fee assessed for anyone registering within 10 days of the first session and your study
materials will not be available until the 2nd session. No refunds will be offered within 10 days of the first
session. Cancellation requests prior to 10 days before the first session will result in a refund minus a $12
processing fee.
The Study Group is not a Class
It is important to note that a PMP Study Group is not a PMP Prep Class. Study Group participants should have
already met the education requirement for their PMP Application and be in the final stages of their exam

Enrollment
Enroll via the KC PMI Website at http://www.kcpmichapter.org by clicking on the PMP Study Group in the
center of the home page. Fees must be paid on-line or by check when you enroll. Seating is limited and
enrollment will be closed as soon as the room capacity is reached.
