Farewell Mrs Dearne Baker
We are very sad to be farewelling Dearne, our School Executive Officer. Dearne started with us in 2005 as a part-time Office
clerk, became full time and stepped up into the role of acting SEO before winning it in her own right last year. And now Dearne
leaves us to take up the position of SEO at Cressy District High School. Dearne has travelled from Perth each day and now will
only have a very short drive to work. While we understand and support her reason for moving, we will miss her enormously.
Dearne’s professional growth during her time with us has been outstanding and I am confident she will continue to keep
developing. She has a rare ability to manage a huge range of priorities and people, and all with good grace and humour. In
supervising all the non-teaching staff, managing financial and other resources, and as a member of the school’s Leadership Team,
she remains focused at all times on providing the best learning environment possible for students.
Welcome Mrs Linda Lovell
Welcome to our new School Executive Officer Mrs Linda Lovell. As SEO, Linda manages the school’s finances, facilities and non
-teaching staff. Linda started with us on Monday, 4 July 2011. She has had previous experience as an SEO at Forest Primary
School in Smithton and more recently provided administration support in Launceston for the Building the Education Revolution
(BER) building projects in schools.
We are very fortunate to have someone of Linda’s calibre joining our team and we congratulate her on her appointment.
