NORTHROP URBAN ENVIRONMENTAL LEARNING CENTER SUPPLY LISTS
For school year 2011-12, the first day of school for students in grades 1-5 will be Monday, August 29th. Kindergarten and
Hi5 students will start school on Wednesday, August 31st . Due to continuing budget constraints, we ask families to supply
the following items for the upcoming school year. Thank you in advance for your support!
**Items needed for ALL grade levels**
- Backpack or book bag – without wheels! (only item to have name written on it) **NO TRAPPER KEEPERS**
- Appropriate gym shoes (that can be left at school or worn consistently on gym days)
- Healthy class snack – enough for 26-32 portions (pretzels, crackers, granola bars, fruit bites, etc.)

1 container antibacterial wipes 12 #2 lead pencils (sharpened)
1 large box Kleenex 8 large glue sticks
6 Glue sticks 1 set of Crayola (WASHABLE) markers

1 package of napkins 2 container of sanitary wipes
1 bottle of Hand Sanitizer (Purell) 2 plain pocket folders

NOTE: Although some of these items are for your child’s personal use, many are supplies to be used by the whole class.
Please DO NOT LABEL any items (except the backpack) before the first day of school. We will take time to label all
personal items as a class.
Also, a home “tool kit” is highly recommended for homework assignments. (The home tool kit should consist of:
pencils, scissors, glue, crayons, markers, etc.)
