Today, she is owner, consultant and trainer of SOS Healthcare Management Solutions, a podiatric consultant company. Lynn has a Certificate of Human Resource Studies from Cornell University School of Industry and Labor Relations and is a Fellow and Past Vice-President of the American Academy of Podiatric Practice Management. Having made numerous contributions as a lecturer and author in areas of practice management and human resources, she is recognized nationwide by many in her profession as an expert in staff and human resource management. This entertaining presentation will introduce you to Mrs. Smith, a fictional yet typical podiatric patient who presents with a multitude of conditions. Objectives of this presentation include: • Help the physician understand the patient – provider relationship as it pertains to communication skills, appearance, etc. • Highlighting innovative interviewing techniques and tools designed to enhance documentation and quality • Exploring the importance of crafting and implementing practice protocols into a medical practice, such as heel pain, wound care and other dermatological conditions, PAD and CVI, and diabetic foot care. Dr. Weaver completed his Certification for Wound Care and is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Orthopedics and Medicine. He is a member of the American Professional Wound Care Association as well as in the College of Certified Wound Specialists. He is a Secretary and Fellow of the American Academy of Podiatric Practice Management. He is currently serving as Secretary of the American Academy of Podiatric Practice Management and mentors many new practitioners. Dr. Ornstein proudly serves as Chairman and Director of Corporate Development of the American Academy of Podiatric Practice Management (AAPPM) and is the Consulting Editor for Podiatry Management Magazine as well as a Distinguished Practitioner in the National Academies. He has given over 200 presentations internationally and has written and been interviewed for over 250 articles on topics pertinent to practice management, patient satisfaction and efficiency in a medical practice. His mission is clear; to share and help create smiles, discuss how others can change their paradigm to show that “Life Just Gets Better” and have them define and reach the pinnacle of their success. Dr. Ornstein has been in private practice for eighteen years and serves as Medical Director of Affiliated Foot and Ankle Center, LLP with its main office in Howell, New Jersey where he also lives with his amazing wife Anna and two lovely boys, Tyler and Zack.
