The Weatherford Citizen Police Academy Alumni Association (WCPAAA) is comprised of a group of volunteers that have undergone extensive training in order to assist the Weatherford Police Department when needed. The WCPAAA volunteers can be seen working at special events such as the Peach Festival, Fall Festivals, and parades. Among the many other things they do, they also provide additional security at local cemeteries and parks, conduct children’s fingerprinting programs, and provide citizen patrol units throughout the city as well as sponsor the McGruff character at special events.
