1. First download BIOS data and extract to your hard drive.

2. Double-click on the AMI Flash Program utility for windows (Usually labeled with
the BIOS name).

5. Click Restart system after system BIOS is updated, go to BIOS setup and

B. Under MS-DOS

First download BIOS data and extract to your hard drive. Copy the files over to a
floppy disk. If you do not have a built-in floppy disk drive, you may use a USB floppy
disk drive, or you can also create a bootable CD such as Bart's Recovery CD and
copy the BIOS utility and BIOS ROM file onto the CD.

1. UPDATING SYSTEM BIOS

Make sure the AC adapter is connected to your notebook before you run this utility.

2-1. Create a MS-DOS Bootable floppy disk. Under Windows 98, the following
command will create a bootable floppy: "sys a:"

2-2. Copy following files into Boot Disk:

f82745.exe and XXXXX.rom (System BIOS File) or If you have a new
BIOS you may only have a Flash.bat, AFUDOS.exe, and xxxxx.rom file.

2-3. Boot from the Boot Disk. If you do not have a USB floppy drive, you can
create a bootable CD using Nero or Easy CD Creator on a different computer. At
MS-DOS prompt A:\> type:

Typef82745 XXXXX.rom then press Enter key. XXXXX.rom is
simply the generic name. Your actual file will be named differently. You must type
the entire name of the BIOS ROM file. Please note the utility name f82743 may be
named slightly different as well depending on your system. If you have a new BIOS
you will only need to type FLASH and your system will begin flashing the
BIOS.

2-4. Reboot the computer After system BIOS is updated, go to BIOS setup and
         load DEFAULT setting.

C. Under Windows 98SE
If the system is operating under Windows 95/98. Restart computer, press F8 and
select Safe and Command prompt only. At Windows 95/98 MS-DOS prompt,
follow the steps in Under MS-DOS above to run this utility.
