Describing Pictures
You will need:
an adult helper
a set a pictures
a set of structure words – what, size, colour, number, shape, where,
Place the pictures upside down on the table.
Ask children in turn to take a picture and look at it without showing it to the others.
The child is asked to describe the picture to the rest of the group.
Place the structure words face up on the table. Ask the child questions using each
of the structure words.
The other children must guess what it is a picture of.
