PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Assist in the daily activities of the assigned receiving department to ensure safe and efficient storage, and retrieval of
district material/ supplies. Safely delivers all packages, mail and supplies to designated locations in a timely fashion.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or GED
Valid driver’s license
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to operate hand tools and mechanical equipment
Ability to communicate effectively
Patient and calm demeanor with students and others
Experience:
Some experience in warehouse/delivery operations
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
1. Identify addressee location on mail and accurately sort, bundle, and place mail in delivery container.
2. Use delivery vehicle to distribute mail to proper campus or location and place mail accurately in mail receptacles.
3. Retrieve outgoing mail from each location.
4. Deliver monthly payroll checks to each campus or location.
5. Operate vehicle according to prescribed safety procedures.
6. Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties.
7. Maintain a neat and orderly workspace and assist in cleaning of assigned area.
8. Carefully adheres to assigned schedule
9. Meets attendance standards and complies with notification procedures for absences
10. Maintains confidentially in the conduct of district business.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Must be able to position and frequently move about within the work area; ability to retrieve, transport position/reposition
objects, supplies and equipment; ability to reposition and transport 50lbs.
Typically frequent reaching, repetitive hand/arm motions, bending, stooping and kneeling are necessary;
Work outside and inside; work around machinery with moving parts; work around moving objects or vehicles; exposure to
dampness and humidity; exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures; exposure to slippery and uneven surfaces;
frequent district-wide travel
