$5000 grant under review to support an oral history project entitled Cry of the Poor:
Voices from those living at the economic bottom.

Idaho Kids Count (2008)
$500 grant to support collaborative creation of Grand Families Count in Idaho, a
legislative policy report.

IASWR SUMMER RESEARCH WORKSHOP (2008)
$900 grant from BSU start-up monies to enhance qualitative research skills via a
summer research workshop on the use of qualitative software, ATLAS-ti.
Department Research Support Grant (2009)
Approximately $3000 given to support summer research conducted by faculty and
professional support.

Idaho Department of Health and Welfare (2009)
$5000 grant promised (but rescinded due to 2009 budget cuts) to explore the role of
equine therapy in supporting meaningful changes in family functioning among high-
risk families.

The Cry of the Poor: Voices from Those Living at the Economic Bottom
An oral history project giving first-hand accounts of men and women living in deep
poverty in a tri-state area.

Hearing the Voices of Lesbian Women Choosing Parenthood
Analysis of several hundred qualitative responses from lesbian women choosing
parenthood.

Consultation Strategies Between Nurses and Social Workers in Child Welfare
Completion of a research report generated from a collaborative project between the
School of Social Work, The College of Nursing, and Idaho Department of Health and
Welfare Region 3.

Boise State Teaching Scholars Program
Creation of an individual scholarly teaching project aimed at advancing
understanding of what works to improve student learning.
