Bookmarks



Bookmarks, as in a Web browser, allows user to mark frequently visited Web sites

(or sites they would want to refer to later) for easy accessibility. When you

bookmark a site, the site's URL is added to a list that you can access through the

browser window, usually with a drop-down or pop-up menu. The bookmarks module

in KEWL.Nextgen allows user to manage their bookmarks: adding, editing, grouping,

deleting.

2. 7. Go to the Organise menu on the post-login screen and click on Personal

Space.

The following screen will appear.

3. 8. Click on the Bookmarks link.

The following screen is the bookmarks homepage.

4. 9. This is the default folder. There are currently no bookmarks in this folder.

Create New Folder

1. 1. On the bookmarks homepage click on the add icon next to My Folders.

The following screen will appear.

2. 2. Add a name to the folder.

3. 3. Add a description to the folder.

4. 4. Select Private (viewed by you only) or not Private i.e shared with all users.

(all users can

view folder).

5. 5. Click on Save.

Add New Bookmark

1. 1. On the bookmarks homepage click on the add icon next to My Bookmarks.

3. 3. Type in the location of your bookmark.

4. 4. Give a description of your bookmark.

5. 5. Select Private (viewed by you only) or not Private i.e. shared with all users.

view bookmark).

6. 6. Select the folder where the bookmark will reside.

8. 8. New bookmark now appears. To access bookmark, click on it.







Managing Folders

1. 1. Click on the Manager Folders link.

The following screen will appear.

Deleting a folder:

2. 2. Click on the delete icon next to the folder you wish to delete.





Delete all marked folders:

3. 3. Mark all the folders you wish to delete.

4. 4. Click on Delete.

5. 5. Click on the edit icon next the folder you wish to edit.

The following screen will appear.

6. 6. Make your desired changes and lick on Save when done.









View Shared Folders

1. 1. Click on the View Shared link.

The following screen will appear.

3. 3. Click on the folder for which you want to view the shared bookmarks.

4. 4. Click on the bookmark you wish to go to.
