Full Time Permanent Management Position
A career opportunity is available at London & Middlesex Housing Corporation as a Senior Property Manager,
reporting to the General Manager/CEO. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to represent the Housing
Corporation at the Landlord and Tenant Board for the City and County properties, including mediation of legal
agreements, liaison with tenants, social agencies, associations and the general public; coordinate evictions with
Sherriff; supervise Property Managers and unionized staff; manage a budget and provide monthly reports to the
Board on rent arrears and related activities; direct, monitor and evaluate the Housing Corporation’s portfolio of
3,282 rent-geared-to-income properties; respond to emergencies and social issues; coordinate with other
departments of the Housing Corporation; provide assistance in special projects, assignments and committees,
represent the Property Management Department at Board of Directors’ meetings; perform other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
Ability to work with an ethno-culturally diverse tenant population; provide excellent public relations and customer
service skills; provide clear, concise oral and written communication skills with proficiency in alternate language
skills being an asset. Time management and organizational skills are essential; ability to work in a Microsoft
Windows XP environment using Microsoft MS Office 2003 products and familiarity with Yardi Property
Management software. Travel, a valid driver’s licence and a Police Record Check are required.
Knowledge of the Residential Tenancy Act, Social Housing Reform Act, the Landlord and Tenant Board processes,
social agencies and systems, WHMIS, Health and Safety Legislation. Post Secondary Education, Property
Management Certification and/or related work experience.
