Mike Sears
Director of Volunteer State Paranormal Research,
Mike has been investigating the paranormal for
more than 5 years. In the past year, Mike has
investigated Rippavilla 4 times and will share
some of his findings at the lecture/meet-n-greet
before the investigation. “Having investigated
more than 70 locations, Rippavilla ranks #1 in
paranormal activity,” stated Sears in a recent
article.
To his credit, Mike has investigated some well-
known haunted places like Waverly Hills
Sanatorium in Louisville, Kentucky, Sloss Furnace in Birmingham,
Alabama, Octagon Hall in Franklin, Kentucky and many other areas in
the Middle Tennessee area.
In 2009, Mike was nominated by the International Paranormal
Acknowledgement Awards for National Male Paranormal Investigator
and Best in Spirit Photography. Mike was awarded for Best in Spirit
Photography by the International Paranormal Acknowledgement
Awards.
Mike has been a guest on various paranormal internet radio shows,
made appearances on “America’s Most Terrifying Places” on the
TRAVEL CHANNEL. He was recently featured on “Tennessee
Crossroads,” a PBC show featuring Tennesseans and Tennessee places.
For the “Tennessee Crossroads” segment, Mike and his VSPR team
investigated Rippavilla Plantation in Spring Hill.
Mike has also been a featured speaker at numerous events in Middle
Tennessee.
His interest in the paranormal began with a very personal experience in
1994; VISIONS Magazine recently published an account of Mike’s life
changing experience.
