Publishing Technology is seeking an ambitious and dynamic Business Analyst (BA) to join our growing
Professional Services Team.
The successful Business Analyst will be a key member of the implementation team for Publishing
Technology’s exciting new advance™ enterprise application suite. Advance™ is a leading application
suite for the publishing industry that includes critical functions such as editorial & production, product
life cycle management, trading partner management, rights & royalties, Customer relationship
management, and order fulfilment.
The Business Analyst role is customer facing position that requires business acumen, technology
knowledge, and the ability to relate to business users and leaders. Working with client teams and the PT
implementation team, the Business Analyst will be responsible for ensuring that clients obtain the full
benefit of their systems by successfully configuring and implementing enterprise applications.
You will be based in Somerset, NJ with travel to client sites. At times travel can exceed 60% with some
international venues.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Lead requirements and business process optimization sessions with key client business leaders.
• Manage and actively participate in the streamlining and re‐engineering of business practices as
necessary
• Analyze and document user requirements, establish functional requirements and business
specifications, including screen layouts and process / workflow changes
• Configure Publishing Technology’s Advance™ enterprise application to ensure business needs are
met.
• Participate in the proposal and sales process including the development of project scope, budget
and timelines
• Provide guidance to application developers with business requirements to drive design and
implementation of solutions
Required Training, Skills and Experience:
• Hands on experience configuring and implementing enterprise systems
• Business process mapping and optimization
• Facilitating and leading client groups for developing requirements, business process option analysis,
system training, and developing best practices within their enterprise environment.
• Strong business acumen including the ability to work with client management and executives.
• Publishing Industry knowledge highly desirable.
• Relevant experience in a complex systems and business environment
• Relevant enterprise application implementation experience.

• SQL Server, .NET,
• MS Project, MS Office Suite.
• Aptify® platform experience a significant plus.
• Degree in computer science or related degree, Graduate / MBA a plus
