Welcome!
On behalf of Burroughs Community School, we welcome you to the 2011 “”Fall for Burroughs” Silent
Auction.
The money raised tonight will go to support the Burroughs Fund. The mission of the Burroughs Fund is to
preserve quality programs for current school students and provide a reserve fund for future Burroughs
School needs.
The Burroughs Fund was created several years ago by a group of concerned parents in response to
significant budget cuts. Each year since then, budget cuts have continued, and we have increasingly come
to rely on the Burroughs Fund for help in reaching the operating budget. Your contributions tonight will help
to preserve critical programs and services at the school this year and beyond.
Tonight is also about community building...a chance to connect with old friends and make new friends. We
hope you have a fun time while supporting this important cause.
Thank you for your generous support of our school and the Burroughs Fund!
We would like to acknowledge the many people who have
helped to make “Fall for Burroughs” a success.
Many thanks to the 2011 Silent Auction Committee.
This event would not have been possible without all of your hard work and creative ideas.

Auction Rules
Registration & Bid Numbers
When you check in you will be given a name tag with your bid number. Use only the bid number assigned to you for
bidding on silent auction items.
Silent Auction Bidding
The Silent Auction opens at 7:00 pm. The minimum bid is written on the bid sheet by the item. Bids must comply with
these minimums and be legible.
To place a bid, sign your name and bid number with your bid amount on the bid sheet. The last (highest) valid bid
entered prior to the section closing will be the winning bid.
For Great Gatherings, sign your name and bid number in one of the empty slots available. Sign only one person per
line. Please be considerate and do not fill up Gatherings with bids on behalf of others. Gatherings are limited and
sign-ups beyond the pre-planned slots will not be accepted.
The Auction Committee reserves the right to withdraw any item at any time without notice before the actual sale. In
the event of a dispute, the Auction Committee shall act as final authority in determining the winning bid.
Payment
We are able to accept credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Amex, and Discover), check, and cash for payment.
Checkout and Item Pickup
At 10:00 pm, checkout will begin on the lower level. All winning items are to be picked up before you leave. Go to
the payment line to pay and pick up any items you have won. Line up for payment according to your bid number.
Terms of Sale
Please note any expiration dates and other restrictions that apply to gift certificates, services, or other items. All items
and services are subject to the terms and conditions specified by the donors.
All sales are final. There will be no exchanges or refunds. The Auction Committee has attempted to describe and
catalog all items correctly, but all items are offered and sold "AS IS".
Tax Information
This catalog lists the fair market value of each item. Any amount you pay in excess of the fair market value would
normally be available to you as a charitable contribution for tax purposes. Please check with your tax advisor for
specifics.
