Linux Software Training
Thankfully due to a very good response to my interest inquiry
last week, I'm glad to offer several intermediate-level Linux
software training sessions toward the end of spring break. They
are:
Title: KDE graphical user interface: Overview and Customization
Time: 3:30pm Thursday, March 16
Location: Mathlab (Bessey 105)
Duration: 45 minutes
Description: A thorough introduction to most KDE utilities as
well as delving into many of KDE's customization options
Title: TeX, Postscript, and PDF files
Time: 2:30pm Friday, March 17
Location: Mathlab (Bessey 105)
Duration: 45 minutes
Description: A step-by-step demonstration on using TeX on Linux,
creating optimized postscript files for pdf file creation.
Title: StarOffice: Linux's office suite.
Time: 3:30pm Friday, March 17
Location: Mathlab (Bessey 105)
Duration: 45 minutes
Description: Installing/Configuring StarOffice, as well as
introducing most of StarOffice's valuable tools: word processor
(including Equation editor), Spreadsheet, Presentations,
Calendar.
