A Cursory Analysis into Potential Applications of a Programming Intermediate
                               Markup Language

                                      Joshua Beard

Markup languages are a powerful way of expressing text, information and structure in a

compact uniformed faction. Some prime examples of useful markup languages include

extensible markup language (XML) and extensible hypertext markup language

(XHTML). This cursory analysis will examine potential applications of using an

intermediate markup language for program language transformations. Essentially, this

means examining how a well defined intermediate markup language could be utilized for

cross-platform development, rapid prototyping, and software modeling. It will also

consider the benefits or disadvantages of developing software without the constraints of a

single programming language in mind.
