The Humber Derby also known as the Humberside Der-
by,
by is the footballing rivalry between the teams north and
south of the River Humber, England; Scunthorpe United
and Grimsby Town from North Lincolnshire and North
East Lincolnshire on the south bank, and Hull City from
the East Riding of Yorkshire on the north.
The derby was contested on 16 December 1905 when
City or region Grimsby Hull City played Grimsby Town[5] at the Boulevard in
Hull Hull. Grimsby won the game 0–1. Scunthorpe United’s
Scunthorpe first game was a 4–0 away defeat to Hull City in 1937.

In recent years the derby has tended to be between Hull
Hull City vs. Grimsby Town[1] City and Scunthorpe United, due to Grimsby Town not
25 December 1951 sharing the same division as Scunthorpe United since
