Every two years, the Champlain Valley Quilters Guild of New York (CVQG) makes a quilt to be
raffled off at their Quilt Show. The proceeds from the raffle of this handmade quilt are shared
with a non-profit organization in the Northern New York area, served by the members of CVQG.
If your organization is interested in being considered as the recipient of our raffle quilt ( to be
raffled on October ,2009) please send a request to:

In years past, CVQG raffle quilt have been donated to the AODS of NENY, Breast Cancer of
CVPH, Alzheimer’s Foundation, Senior Citizens among others. Monies generated by the quilts
have been between $1300 and $4000, depending upon the enthusiasm of the selling of the
tickets.
Included in the request should be at least the following:
Name or organization
Name of contact person in the organization with whom correspondence can be continued reason
for the request- what will the monies be used for?
How you, the organization, will market the raffle quilt
It will be the responsibility of your organization to make the arraignments to sell tickets that
have been printed by the Guild. GVQG will make raffle tickets available to its membership but
the primary responsibility for selling tickets will be your organization’s. It will also be the
responsibility of your organization to have someone present during the two days of the quilt
show in October 2009 to continue selling the raffle tickets. It also will be the responsibility of
your organization to cover the cost of the quilt to be raffled and the cost of tickets printed. The
last day for selection will be December 30, 2008.
