NOTICES
Stewards’ Enquiries
Newbury, Sunday 19th July
Race 1
The Stewards enquired into the riding of Miss Anna Wallace about 1 ½ furlongs out and interviewed Miss Wallace.
The Stewards determined that Ajyaal, ridden by Miss Wallace, moved towards horse no.13, Pinkie Tuscadero, ridden
by Mr P Collington. The Stewards interviewed both riders and accepted Miss Wallace’s explanation that any
interference was accidental.
Race 3
The Stewards enquired into the use of the whip of M. Gerald Avranche about 1furlong out under Appendix 13 of the
BHA Regulations for Arabian Horse Racing and interviewed the jockey. The Stewards determined that M. Avranche
used his whip with excessive force over the final furlong. M. Avranche explained that this was his first ride in the UK
so was not familiar with what is acceptable. The Stewards imposed a £50 penalty on M. Avranche.
