How to return an eBook before the loan period is over
In OverDrive you get to pick your own loan period for eBooks (either 7 or 14 days). At the end of that time the
item will expire automatically and will return to the collection automatically. You can return an eBook before the
loan period is over to free up space on the library card to check out another item.
In Adobe Digital Editions ,
when you see the whole
eBook you are in 'Reading
View'.
To return an eBook early
click on 'Library View'.
You will see everything you
have downloaded.
Select the eBook you want to return, and click You will get this dropdown menu.
on the little arrow to the left of the book. Select the option to 'Return
Borrowed Item'. (Note: if you
select 'Delete Item' it will remove
it from Adobe Digital Editions but
not from the library card.)
Click here to confirm that
you want to 'Return' the
item.
