The HB du Pont PTA typically meets
the third Tuesday of each month at 7:00
PM in the library during the school
year. At the meetings we discuss
upcoming PTA activities and other PTA
H.B. du Pont Calendar business. Usually Dr. Carmack gives a
report on school news. Meetings
typically last 1 to 1 ½ hours. Any one

We are once again saving Box Tops for
Education labels from hundreds of
products we use everyday. Each label is
worth 10¢ to the school. It takes no time at
all to add up. You can put the box tops in
the specially marked box in the lobby, too. Middle school is FINALLY here! Hope you’re all
settled and meeting new friends!
Ask your friends, neighbors and relatives
to save their receipts and box tops for our TXT or call all your new friends and old ones

Join the H.B. du Pont PTA
Every year the HB du Pont PTA funds a wide variety of activities that directly benefit your children
and their school. Just a few of these endeavors include providing partial funding to outfit a new
computer lab; organizing teen centers and end of year activities for all grades, which included
providing commemorative T-shirts for graduating 8th graders; providing $200 to many HB clubs, such
as Science Olympiad and Drama Club, to help defray costs; organizing fun family events; supporting
the HB staff through special appreciation events; and providing those teachers who joined the PTA
with $50 to enhance their classrooms.
Although we welcome all offers of help, becoming a member does not require you to attend
meetings or to volunteer. Regardless of your participation, your membership dollars help to support
PTA programs, gives you a voice in the HB and state PTA and gives you access to various member
benefits provided by the national PTA (www.pta.org). Please consider becoming a member today by
sending in your payment with the membership form on the back. Remember, all donations beyond
the membership fee are tax deductable.
Whether or not you choose to join the PTA, providing your name and email address on the
membership form will allow us to keep you informed about upcoming school and PTA
events.
